First, prepare the pail, brush, car wash soap, towel and plastic bag. Don’t forget the water. If those has been prepared, let’s get to the step.
Take the water, a pail, a brush, towel (at least two towels and which are not too rough) and the car wash soap. Mix the water, car wash soap, and a towel in a pail. This combination is to use for washing the rims and tires. Be sure to purge all dirt which adhered on it like soil dust or brake dust. Then, take the brush to scrub the side of the tire.
After you are sure all the dirt have been removed, rinse with the clean water and wipe with another towel that is still dry. This step is useful for removing the residual soap which left on the rims and tires. Remember that if you only wipe it with a towel, the rims and tires can not be directly dried. So, let those dry by itself. Keep in your mind, the residual soap that is not cleaned, if that is dry, it will cause stains which will make the rims does not look good.
After the rims and tires was dried, put those into the plastic bag. A recommendation use the trash bags. It’s a kind of opaque plastic bag and it will useful to prevent the oil vaporization and the moisture from affecting the tires rubber.
Lastly, choose a place in your home to store the rims and tires. Garage or basement could be the great place for it. One thing that you have to consider about choosing the place is, try to choose the place which is dry and cool. That’s it and hopefully it will be helpful.
