” />In the 80, the spread about boot sector virus called (c)Brain open the eyes of computer users around the world. People start to think, they need some protection for their computer, although at that time some virus not as destructive like today virus. At that time we could only cure after our pc got infected, but today we could install security program to blockade and check everything that come to our pc system.Thank to the advance of computer technology, before today if we want to install security program to our pc system just like eating vegetable. we know the benefit for us, but they can leave a bad taste. I mean, if we install security program, it makes protection to our pc but it could slow down the system, but not today, computer get more cheaper than used to be and get better performance.
I like to review several Security Software that exist and usually used for personal or professional.
1. AVG Technology Internet Security, Price $64.99
This Software has a familiar look with its free antivirus. Addition in AVG Internet security offer two-way firewall, spam filter, phishing shield, drive-by download andantirookit abilities. Just like security model of yesterday, when malware detected in a download, a pop-up shown “Threat detected” and identifies the infected file and threat that contains. For the most well known programs and Internet games, the firewall will pops up so you could choose to allowed it or not.
2. Avira Premium Security Suite, Price $78
as known as second most popular free antimalware such as AVG. It looks like its free software, but with more features added. User would be annoy with a lot of pops up than necessary, and contains options that would confuse. Pop-ups are also standart operating mode for the firewall, which could freeze several online games, so we need to ALT-TAB to the desktop view then click allow button.
3. BitDefender Internet Security 2009, Price $39.95
BitDefender Internet Security 2009 likely the most flexible security software from the first you installed it and after you used it. The average performace is below two top security program but we can forgive it since the price is lower than other two. the most interesting features is a removable disc scanner, so it always ask you to run a scan whenever a flash drive or a new disc just inserted, its very handy. BitDefender has Simple mode and Advanced mode, i think it is good, so its not confusing for most of users.
4. Eset Smart Security, Price $89.99
If you want to choose a lighter security software, you could choose Eset Smart Security. The Software has being tested, and run smoothly for many cpu specifications. The Best performace of this software is, when you donwload a file from internet and it detected virus, it will pops up an alert dialog box, and says “Connection Terminated – Quarantined.” Eset Smart Security has two modes, Standart mode and Advance mode. For the beginners just choose standart mode, but if you want more options and configuration you could choose advance mode. It is the most exprensive security software choice, but if you want your pc running smoothly i think its worth.
5. Kasperky Internet Security 2009, Price $79.99
I think this security software generally for expert users. There’s alot of options hanging on the interface, show some protection statistics and even a live graphs. If you like being asked for almost program that encounter with this security suite, you could choose this software. Kasperky Internet Security 2009 is the slowest among all Security Suite.
For Later Security Suite, i never used it, but i only know the price for each one of them. For the time being i still used my favorite Eset Smart Security, and some of my pc used Kaspersky Internet Security 2009.

7. Norton Internet Security 2009, Price $59.99
8. Panda Internet Security 2009, Price $79.95
9. Internet Security Pro, Price $69.95
