Bluetooth 3.0 has come, its look like a great fancy specification. It could fulfill the three most important demand, Wi-Fi speeds, faster response time and more power user efficiency.

” />Before we talk further, did you know what is bluetooth ? Bluetooth represent a wireless communication protocol. The word Bluetooth itself came from the name of tenth-century Danish King, King Harald I ( bluetooth), who united danish tribes together of Scandanavia. Its similar with the implication of bluetooth within communication protocols. The bluetooth Symbol also made from merging the runes of Harald Bluetooh’s initials.
Bluetooth is designed to have low power and have three different class power dependent for its purpose on the device. Class 3 with power 1mW for range of 1 meter, Class 2 with power 2.5mW for range of 10 meters and the last is Class 1 with power 100mW for range 100 meters. Bluetooth rides on the 2.4GHz to 2.485GHz frequency bands and it use radio technology called frequency-hopping spread spectrum to chop and chunk the data being send and receive in 79 deffferent frequencies. With this design it could avoid the collision interference of 2.4GHz devices.
In its application, bluetooth nowdays could be used for :
- mobile phone and hands-free set wireless control and communication,
- networking between PC
- PC peripheral controls such as mouse, keyboard and printer
- files transfers, reminders, contact detailed and calender appointment between device with OBEX
- Wireless Bridge
- Next Generation Console such as Nintendo Wii and Sony Playstation 3
- Infrared Device controls

Bluetooth 1.0 and 1.0B
This version had many errors and problems, many wireless device difficult to communicate with this version. It said have transfer rate about 1Mbps but in reality its far from theory.
Bluetooth 1.1
Fixes some error that occur on 1.0B specifications
Bluetooth 1.2
This is backward compatible with Bluetooth 1.1 and has a better potency. It has faster connection and discovery, it used adaptive frequency-hopping spread spectrum to avoid frequency interference around 2.4GHz bands.
Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR
release in November 10, 2004. it also backward compatible with version 1.2, add some prospect specification such as EDR ( Enhanced Data Rate ) for faster data transfer, power usage also more efficient, many device work greatly with this version.
Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR
more support added to this version, one main thing is NFC ( Near Field Communication ), its an automatic pairing.
Bluetooth 3.0 + HS
release in April 21, 2009. This is like a dream comes true of wireless communication standart for all device and future device.It could transfer up to 24Mbps ( great isn’t it ? ), low power comsuption, add new feature which is AMP (Alternate MAC/PHY) that could reduce break connection because of shake or movement. This Feature include Unicast Connectionless Data which give responsive improve and save more energy usage.
