We’ve been watching the developments of OnLive, the “cloud” gaming streaming service, which lets user to play a number of the latest triple A titles without a disc or even a console. This day, it has been announced that the service will also come to the United Kingdom, after British Telecom bought 2.6% of the American OnLive.
Meanwhile, the release date and further details still have not disclosed yet and apparently will not be mentioned until the official US launch of the service this summer. Nevertheless, Europeans customers don’t need to be worry about what this means for the exclusivity of OnLive. As the service will be available not only for BT’s users but also most ISPs, (British Telecom’s stake only acquiring them exclusivity over bundle deals, instead the service itself).
OnLive’s US service will start at June 17th and costs you $15 monthly for access to the service. And of course, This doesn’t include the cost of renting or buying games.
