As a music lover, I too expected before to easily combine together a bunch of songs into a single file. Merging some mp3 files into a single file has many advantages. For me, it can save disk space, and help manage my collections better.

There are many audio-merge programs available to download on internet. But, there is nothing comes close to Merge MP3. This program is really intuitive and easy to use. It doesn’t require and follow complex installation processes.

All you need is simply download the program [link available below], unzip it and you can run it. Merge MP3 is only 719 Kb, so you could copy it to your flash drive and use it anywhere and anytime — of course, with no the need of installation.

Like what I was mentioning before, the program doesn’t require any installation. After download is done, you just need to unzip it, and click following icon to use Merge MP3.

And following is Merge MP3’s main interface, it’s very basic and simple.To get started merging some mp3s, choose which audio files you’d like to merge and drag & drop them to the blank space (like shown below). Or, if you have a few folders to include to the merge list, just hit the CTRL + D keys at the same time and choose the folder.

Choose / highlight the files, and right-click your mouse, select File, and then click on the Merge Selected… command.

Select/ type a filename and folder for the merged mp3s and then press Save. The process will take only a few minutes, depending on how many files being merged.

After that, try to play the merged file in your favorite audio media player like Winamp. As you can notice, the merged mp3 file is a bit longer in file size as well as duration.

Sometimes the merging won’t work properly. This is because a minor streaming mode issue. Don’t be sad as the problem can be fixed in just three clicks. You’ll receive this warning whenever you encounter the error.

To settle this error, simply click the View menu and Preferences, At general tab, check “Merge using raw stream mode” and click OK. Now, you can merge your mp3 files the usual way.

An update released by antivirus giant McAfee to its corporate users Wednesday contained a buggy detection routine that made plentiful of computers to go into a restart loop. Universities, hospitals and several companies across the US reported issues once getting the update. The severe system instability problem stemmed from incorrect blocking of the critical svchost.exe file on Pcs running Windows XP SP3.

The first update was launched Wednesday, the 21st of April, at 2.00 PM Pacific time. It was pulled off only a couple hours later. The company then rolled out a corrected update, DAT 5959, hours once the bogus definition went out. But, the release has to be set out to affected systems manually in Safe Mode, a bad experience for IT staff in large companies with lots of Pcs.

“Mistakes happen. No excuses. The nearly 7,000 employees of McAfee are focused right now on two things, in this order. First, help our customers who have been affected by this issue get back to business as usual. And second, once that is done, make sure we put the processes in place so this never happens again,” commented Executive Vice President of Worldwide Technical Support and Customer Service for McAfee, Barry McPherson.

According to DownlaodSquad’s Lee Mathews, this nightmare is a crucial hit to McAfee’s image as a security software specialist. This mistake might very well determine IT staff to consider changing to another security software.

“Yes, McAfee has released a fix — but it’s one that has be applied hands-on at each affected computer. That’s going to create serious pains-in-the-ass for loads of admins and technicians around the globe — and pissed off admins are never averse to switching software when it decides to create a titanic load of extra work for them,” said Mathews.
