We are already entering a new realm of e-reader price wars: Amazon has just reduced the price of the Kindle from $260 to $189. While Barnes & Noble’s Wi-Fi only model of Nook will only cost at $149. The Kindle will stay be available with 3G wireless connectivity, but without any annual contracts or monthly charges.

The price cuts might indicating that Amazon is anticipating the arrival of iOS 4. With the advent of the most anticipated iOS 4, which comes with Apple’s iBooks app to loads of devices, Kindle is also having a new rival: the iPhone. Apple Tablet incessantly rumored. This time the rumors about the device appears again as Apple plans to make a product announcement in January 2010.

Apple, as quoted by Reuters on Thursday (24/12/2009), has rented space at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, United States. It is said that on January 26, 2010 Apple will announce a ‘product’ in there.

Please note that the Apple has not made any official announcement about this. Although it does not mean the rumors did not immediately appear.

Rumors that the event was widely is it going to be a place announcements Apple Tablet. A device that was widely rumored to be the iPhone or iPod Touch but with a much larger screen like the Netbook.

Adobe announced at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona, Spain, that they are developing a new version of Flash Lite Distributable Player that will make the functionality of Adobe Flash 10 can run on a wide range of smartphone. Adobe Flash Lite Player 3.1 Distributable already able to dowload, and is still in Beta stage. Currently, Flash Lite is only present for 11 type Windows Mobile devices, and 11 type Nokia S60 (Symbian OS).

According to Adobe, Flash content has been used by more than 98% of Internet users, and there are currently more than 30 million files online. swf. In a sense, if the device still does not use Flash, Flash content can not be viewed. Flash Lite 3.1 has a feature similar to Flash Lite 3.0, like support for Flash Player compatible video with some additional development, such as security of file access. Swf.

Based mobile phone operating system Symbian and Windows Mobile is not the only smart phone that can run Flash Lite. Palm also announced that they recently joined the Open Screen Project, an industry dedicated to the application using the Adobe Flash Platform.
